This Week in Baseball – Pujols RBI Record, Judge IL, deGrom Elbow, Yelich Home Runs, Harper Fakes

Aaron Judge

Is There a Doctor in the House…

Welp, the Yankees have another player added to the Injured List. This time it’s All-Star home run masher Aaron Judge. Manager Aaron Boone says Judge has a “pretty significant” strain to his oblique. And then added, “In hindsight, before the season started, maybe I shouldn’t have taunted that old gypsy lady.”

Armed and Dangerous…

Across town, the Mets’ ace Jacob deGrom was placed on the IL with elbow discomfort. However, the team announced he may not even need an MRI and could return to the mound as soon as he is eligible. Team doctors believe that the quick healing is because deGrom is not on the Yankees.

#Pujolshits…

Future Hall of Fame slugger Albert Pujols jumped Babe Ruth for fifth place with 1,993 RBIs. He got two RBIs against the Mariners on Saturday. With a name like Pujols, we shouldn’t be surprised he hit the CRAP out of the ball and dropped a DEUCE. We’ll continue to see his MOVEMENT up the standings. You can expect him to DUMP other players that he was able to ELIMINATE.

Homeward Bound…

Brewers superstar Christian Yelich hit two homers on Saturday night against the Dodgers, giving him 13 already this season. Strangely all 13 of Yelich’s home runs have come at home in Milwaukee’s Miller Park. Must be something in the cheese.

New Jerseys…

Hundreds of knock-off Phillies’ Bryce Harper jerseys have been seized by the feds in Philadelphia. At the current prices, these would be worth around $40,000. But if you cut them with cheaper Ryan Howard jerseys, they could be worth nearly three times that.
